Shakespearian Escapade
I was introduced to William Shakespeare when I was in grade school, during the time that our class discussed his most famous work, Romeo and Juliet. As a young girl then I can vividly recall the way me and my classmates gush over the romance of the brave and chivalry Romeo and the fair maiden Juliet. We were all so saddened by the ending however, upon discovering that both characters led a dismal fate.
Romeo and Juliet is just one of the many best sellers of the talented William Shakespeare, alongside it is the equally famous Hamlet. Shakespeare is indeed a cornerstone in English literature; his works are still very much publicly recognized up until today. He is sometimes regarded as the father of playwright and English Literature. Shakespeare’s legend is set to continue forever as long as his works are continuously regarded by people all over the world.
I believe that the story of Romeo and Juliet is the blueprint of romance and love stories of our time. It is often popularized and the story and plot is often copied by modern romance movies that depict the story of the young lovers in the quest for their feelings to be freed. It is just a bit disappointing that William had to end the story very tragically, with both the lovers ending their lives to demise.
At Centerville a gallery that pays tribute to the famous English playwright will be held to regard his awesome talent and contribution to the world of Literature. English professors will be present together with their students to help them learn and discover the works of William on a first hand basis. Enthusiasts and other spectators are also expected to grace the event.
